Moving Out Notice and Legal ways to move out early

Tenants must give proper notice when they want to move at the end of the rental period or lease. If you pay your rent by the month or the year, or if you have a lease, you must give at least 60 days notice unless you have other agreement with the landlord.

You might be able to leave on short notice if something happens that makes it impossible for you to live in your apartment. Such as:

1. There is a serious danger to your safety or health.

2.Your apartment is not fit to live in, such as full of rats and cockroach.

Note: This article contains general information only. Each situation is unique. If having a legal problem, please contact you community legal clinic for advice.
